	Flugplatz Mainz wird weiterentwickelt Wiesbadener Tagblatt ( 01. 08. 2008) Zahlreiche Ideen zur Verbesserung und Weiterentwicklung des Flugplatzes in Mainz-Finthen hat die "Flugplatz Mainz Betriebsgesellschaft mbH" (FMBG). Voraussetzung für deren Realisierung sei die Umsetzung der vom Luftfahrtverein mit Stadt und Zweckverband verhandelten Vereinbarung zum Betrieb des Platzes Ein ähnlicher Artikel stand auch in den Mainzer Zeitungen AZ und Rhein Mainer. Anlass für die Artikel war die Übergabe der Unterschriften für die Ratifizierung des Abkommens zwischen dem Zweckverband und dem Luftfahrtverein Mainz über den Betrieb des Flugplatzes nach dem Kauf des Geländes durch den Zweckverband.
